Israel may temporarily withdraw troops from the Gaza Strip

Israel may withdraw its troops from the Gaza Strip&nbsp ;for 42 days, to enable the first phase of the process to free the hostages to begin. This would be a step to support the agreement that Egypt and Hamas are trying to conclude with the support of the United States.

This was reported by The Jerusalem Post, citing senior defense sources.

It is noted that Israel will not suffer significant security losses. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to discuss the agreement with senior US officials during his three-day visit to Washington, starting July 22. To underscore his commitment to reaching an agreement, Netanyahu brought with him previously released hostages and relatives of the hostages.

We are talking about the release of 18 to 33 hostages out of 120.

Highly placed sources say that creative solutions can ensure security in the Philadelphia corridor even after the withdrawal of troops, and that if necessary, the Israeli army can quickly return there.
