Iran does not recognize Russia's attempted annexation of Ukrainian regions
< p>Iran does not recognize Russia's attempt to annex the occupied Crimea, Lugansk, Donetsk, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions of Ukraine. This was stated by Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian in an interview TVT World.
According to him, despite the “excellent relationship” with Moscow, Iran recognizes the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
We recognize the sovereignty and territorial integrity of countries within the framework of international laws, therefore, despite the excellent relations between Tehran and Moscow, we did not recognize the secession of Crimea, Luhansk and Donetsk regions of Ukraine.
Because we insist on our consistent principle in foreign policy: when we say that the conflict in Ukraine – this is not a solution, we believe in our position as a fundamental political principle on which we rely.
BAGNET the so-called "DPR" and "lnr" (Donetsk and Lugansk regions – ed.), as well as Kherson and Zaporozhye regions as a result of sham “referendums” at gunpoint. Russian troops do not control the city of Zaporozhye, and in November they fled Kherson.
Western countries did not recognize the Kremlin's attempt to annex the Ukrainian regions to Russia. Crimea was officially recognized as Russian by Venezuela, Nicaragua, Syria , Afghanistan, North Korea and Cuba. "Independence" the so-called "DPR" and "lnr" recognized by Syria, North Korea, Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
The Kremlin said that they are not going to withdraw their troops from the territory of Ukraine until Kyiv recognizes Russia's attempts to annex the Donetsk, Lugansk, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.
