MOSCOW (Reuters) – Iran is holding consultations with Russia on the joint production of a vaccine against coronavirus, Russian news agencies reported, citing Iranian Ambassador to Moscow Kazem Jalali.
“We can have serious cooperation with Russia on this issue. Negotiations are continuing and documents must be signed, and, God forbid, this will soon lead to a result,” RIA Novosti quoted Jalali as saying.
In August, the Sputnik V vaccine produced by the N.I. N.F. Gamalei received a registration certificate from the Russian Ministry of Health, becoming the first registered coronavirus vaccine in the world.
