iPhone contraband worth 500 thousand hryvnias discovered in Krakow

A passenger on a bus from Balice to Lviv tried to transport 11 iPhones across the border.

This was reported by Lviv Customs on its Facebook page.

On December 1, at the Kraków – Korchów checkpoint, customs officers discovered a stolen iPhone worth 500 thousand hryvnias in the possession of a passenger on a bus from Balice to Lviv. Lviv 11 iPhone mobile phones.

“During the inspection of the Balice – Lviv bus, customs officers used X-ray and television equipment to discover 11 Apple gadgets in the  luggage of one of the passengers. The 65-year-old resident of Lviv did not indicate in the declaration about four iPhone 16 Pro, three iPhone 16 Pro Max, or four  iPhone 15 Pro Max. According to the citizen, she was taking all the equipment, worth $ 100,000, for relatives as  Christmas gifts” – the message says.

The estimated cost of the goods is 500 thousand hryvnias.

According to this fact, customs officers drew up a report on violation of customs rules, in accordance with Part 2 of Article 471 (failure to declare goods moved across the customs border by citizens) of the Customs Code.
