iPhone 16 Pro smartphone: new tests confirm advantages over competitors

New data from the well-known insider Digital Chat Station appeared online, in particular through his post on Weibo, where he shared the results of iPhone performance tests 16 Pro in the game Genshin Impact. The main purpose of the study was to compare Apple's A18 Pro chipset with such giants as Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Dimensity 9300+. Preliminary results confirm that the A18 Pro demonstrates not only excellent performance, but also high energy efficiency.

Testing showed that all three chipsets were able to maintain a stable 60 fps while playing Genshin Impact. However, the most impressive result was the power consumed by these devices during operation. A18 Pro uses only 4.05 W, while Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 needs 5.81 W, and Dimensity 9300+ — 5.61 W. This difference highlights the A18 Pro's advantage not only in performance, but also in significantly lower power consumption, which is important for long-term use and battery conservation.

It is interesting that prototypes of competing smartphones were used in the tests. The insider also shared thermal images of these devices, but they had blurred cameras, hinting that the official unveiling of these models has yet to happen. Despite this, we managed to get some interesting hints about possible future devices.

One of the prototypes resembles the design of the iQOO Z9 Turbo camera, which could indicate a new Turbo+ model with a Dimensity 9300+ chipset. Another prototype has a round camera similar to the OnePlus 12 or its Ace 3 Pro variant, but there are some design differences — there are no accents around the camera like previous OnePlus flagships.

According to rumors, the OnePlus Ace 5-like prototype could be a smartphone that will debut with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and later be redesigned for the global market under called 13R. This smartphone is also expected to feature a flat display, matching previous leaks.

While some details are still speculative, these leaks add intrigue and anticipation ahead of the upcoming official announcements.
