iOS 18.2 operating system brought overheating issues due to features related to artificial intelligence

All things considered, the iOS 18.2 update has brought some issues to some iPhone models.

iOS 18.2 for iPhone was released last week. After that, complaints about smartphone overheating began to appear on Reddit when using functions related to artificial intelligence.

One of these problematic functions is Image Playground, which allows you to generate images based on prompts or convert existing photos from the gallery into different styles. Overheating is also caused by the Genmoji function, which causes the interface to slow down, making it less convenient to use.

Overheating problems mostly affect the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, while iPhone 16 users note that the functions work correctly.

In addition, some users report overheating when working with «Photos», as well as Reduced battery life after updating to iOS 18.2.
