The Piexl startup announced an unusual device called the DS Pixel Keyboard. It is a display that can be used both as a keyboard and as a monitor. Moreover, the keyboard can be not only touch-sensitive, but also physical – thanks to the included frame with “electrostatic capacitive keys”.
The device is a widescreen 60-hertz display with a resolution of 3840 × 1100 pixels with HDMI input — thanks to the latter, the novelty can be used as a monitor. The DS Pixel Keyboard also has a 20,000 mAh battery, which charges in three hours and provides autonomy of up to 12 hours. There are also integrated stereo speakers.

You can customize the location of the buttons and their appearance, as well as add a video as a background. The device is compatible with Windows, macOS, Linux and Android, and you can connect it via USB-C, Bluetooth or using a 2.4 GHz adapter.
As for the keys of the overlay frame, they have a travel of 1.2 mm. The accessory does not hide the screen under itself, so the buttons and animations remain visible.
