The International Day of Peace was started by the UN General Assembly in 1981. Initially, it was celebrated on the third Tuesday of September, but since 2002, it was decided to celebrate this holiday on a fixed date – September 21.

On this day, Peace Day in Ukraine is also celebrated. strong>, established since 2002, according to the decree of President Leonid Kuchma. Radio Maximum has prepared a selection of photos from the peaceful times of the cities that are currently under occupation.
