Former WBC world champion in the Welterweight Ukrainian Viktor Postol is currently in the United States, where is preparing to fight for two titles with their owner Jose Ramirez. In the process of promotion of the game and communication with journalists the boxer told about the situation with coronavirus and how it affected his career. And recently, coach Postol called it the edge in battle with the champion from the USA.

“In Ukraine it all started before we closed faster than the United States. As soon as the virus began to spread, we were already closed, so we didn’t have as bad as in America. The government worked really well, protecting people from the virus. Now it all comes back and it all gets better,” said Victor in a conversation with Boxing Scene.

“I’m a veteran of this sport and seen a lot. But honestly, this situation touched the whole world, happened for the first time. The fight was moved twice and I’m in the camp for the third time to the same fight. It’s crazy. It was the first time in my career when the fight was canceled last week. This never happened to me,” said Postol.

Recall that initially the fight Postol – Ramirez was to be held on February 1 in China, but at the last moment cancelled due to the outbreak of the coronavirus in the country.
