In the afternoon of October 3, an accident occurred on one of the streets of Yekaterinburg, as a result of which a 7-year-old schoolboy was injured. According to the press service of the city traffic police department, this incident occurred at about one in the afternoon local time in the area of st. Old Bolsheviks.
According to the agency, a 41-year-old woman is driving a Renault Logan car, moving along the Old Bolsheviks in the direction of st. Baumana hit a 7-year-old pedestrian crossing the carriageway in an unidentified place. “The driver later told the law enforcement officers that she saw the children standing on the tram tracks about five meters away, suddenly one of them began to cross the road, the woman tried to take emergency braking measures and steer to the right, but she could not avoid hitting the pedestrian. After hitting the boy, she stopped the car and ran after the other children, who hurried to hide in the courtyards of nearby houses, ”the city traffic police said.
Later, the mother of the injured child explained to law enforcement officers that she let her 7-year-old son go for a walk in the yard under the supervision of his older 11-year-old brother. However, the children, without the permission of their mother, decided to go to their cousin, who lives in a house located on the other side of the road.
As noted in the traffic police, the material on the fact of this accident in the future will be sent to the employees of the PDN, after which the legal representatives of the injured boy can be brought to administrative responsibility. In addition, the boy's family is also in danger of being registered.
