This decision was made today, 23 August, during a meeting of the regional defense council.

"We know the treachery of the enemy and its inadequacy. It is better to avoid crowds during this period. Everyone understands the importance of this national holiday. I am sure that in the heart of every Volhynian, this day will be marked by a special atmosphere filled with unbreakable faith, which does not need official awards,” wrote the head of the OVA, Yuriy Pogulyajko.
