The Israeli Foreign Ministry asks its citizens not to travel to Ukraine for Rosh Hashanah due to the risks associated with the war, but it is unlikely that all Hasidim will heed the warnings.
In the Cherkasy region, it is believed that not all Hasidim will heed the warnings, and some of them will come to Uman to celebrate the Jewish New Year Rosh Hashanah, so security measures will be strengthened in Uman from September 19 to 30. Igor Taburets, the head of the Cherkassy OVA, reports this.
It is reported that during this period the following will be in force in the city: a ban on holding any mass events; a ban on the sale of alcoholic (low alcohol) drinks and pyrotechnic products; strengthening the access regime and control over the stay (movement) of citizens; a ban on the movement of vehicles and parking in certain sections of the road network; restriction of access to places of pilgrimage.
Recall that the Israeli Foreign Ministry asked its citizens to go to Ukraine for Rosh Hashanah because of the risks associated with the war, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry and the Security Service also asked the Hasidim about this.
