In Ukraine, they plan to introduce a program of preferential loans for the installation of solar panels in private houses

The Entrepreneurship Development Fund (FDP) is developing a program for compensating Ukrainians for loans for the installation of solar panels in private households.

The Ministry of Energy approached the Fund with a proposal to prepare a new energy support program aimed at individuals, Ukrinform reports. Previously, the FRP focused only on supporting Ukrainian business — above all, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.

«The idea is that, thanks to the additional financing we found, owners of private households could take consumer loans from partner banks of the new budget program for compensation of the body of loans issued for the installation of solar panels», — Andriy Gapon, chairman of the FRP board, explained.

The first banks — partners of the program “Add energy to your business” can become participants in the project — Ukrgasbank and Bank Lviv.

They also want to create a catalog of ready-made solutions, as they did during the implementation of the program “Add energy to your business”. That is, having come to one of the partner banks to obtain an “energy-efficient” loan, a person will be able to familiarize himself with ready-made projects and choose the most optimal solution for himself.

«According to our calculations, 3,000 households will be able to install solar panels within the future program. Thus, firstly, they will provide themselves with energy and, at least in some periods, will not depend on the general networks, and secondly, they will be able to sell the surplus to the state. I hope that we will quickly work out a mechanism that would satisfy the citizens of Ukraine who want to use such energy-efficient solutions», — concluded Gapon.
