In Ukraine, a Viber group administrator was exposed for trying to disrupt mobilization

The man personally coordinated the messages in which the locations and travel routes of representatives of the CCC and the National Police were published.

In addition, the person involved himself «drained» the locations of mobile law enforcement groups into the chat.

The person involved turned out to be a 51-year-old resident of the Kolomyia district. In the fall of 2024, he received the right to administer a Viber group popular among draft evaders, the SBU Department in Ivano-Frankivsk region informs.

During operational measures, SBU officers exposed the administrator and blocked the group that was obstructing mobilization. SBU investigators informed the defendant of suspicion of obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations (Part 1, Article 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Such actions are punishable by imprisonment for a term of 5 to 8 years.
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the SBU in Ivano-Frankivsk region under the procedural guidance of the Ivano-Frankivsk regional prosecutor's office.
