Ukrainian developers, together with the military, are conducting a combat test of the Vatra drone, designed to intercept the Shahed barrage munitions. The head of the team, Volodymyr Yatsenko, announced this on his Facebook page.

During the launch on October 26, Vatra managed to raise 7 kilometers. Therefore, it can destroy “Shakhed” flying at an altitude of 3-4 kilometers, diving from above. As proof, Volodymyr Yatsenko provided a picture from the operator's screen, on which you can see the height indicator of 6,508 meters and the speed of 76 km/h, in the comment, the developer noted that the UAV was in standby mode and should not have flown quickly.

“Vatra” — it is an unmanned fighter aircraft of the FPV type, that is, the operator must control it in real time, receiving video images as if from the first person. Judging by the video, it has the shape of a small plane with a rounded body.
