Agrarians have been banned from mining in the UAE< /p>

In Abu Dhabi (UAE), the Department of Agriculture and Food Safety has banned agricultural companies from mining bitcoins. Khaleej Times reported this.

Emirate authorities are concerned that mining on agricultural farms could lead to a sharp consumption of electricity. Accordingly, such activity, according to the authorities, is considered illegal use of farms “for purposes other than its intended use”.

If violations are detected, fines of 10,000 dirhams (about $2,720) are promised.
