In the  Odessa region, law enforcement officers detained the rector of the Savior-Transfiguration Church of the UOC MP village of Mayaki, who transported a man of draft age in his own transport to help him illegally cross the state border and thus avoid conscription for military service.

As reported by "Dumskoy" sources in law enforcement agencies, the clergyman had with him a certificate of a participant in the territorial defense and knew the recall password, which gave him the opportunity to freely pass through the checkpoints.

According to sources, the investigation found that the clergyman repeatedly contributed to the illegal crossing of the border by persons of military age.

It is also known that  the priest is a member of the All-Ukrainian public organization "Orthodox Cossacks" and and previously, he repeatedly came to the field of view of law enforcement officers on suspicion of collaboration with gang groups.

"So, in 2015, during he during a search, live grenades were found and  optical sight, but then he paid off the punishment. It is interesting that in March 2022 in Odessa, three citizens of Ukraine were detained, who, for a cash reward, staged an explosion in the city on May 25 2021. All  three — members of the "Orthodox Cossacks". Now  the clergyman continues to engage in illegal activities — illegal transportation across the border of persons of draft age (Article 332 Criminal Code of Ukraine — Ed.), however, he again tries to avoid justice through corruption",— said the source.
