In the Kharkiv region, a girl stole 3 thousand euros from her grandmother to buy a phone

In Lozovaya Kharkiv region, a girl stole 3 thousand euros from her grandmother to buy a phone, but her acquaintances embezzled the money. This is stated in the verdict of the Loziv city-district court. The crime was committed almost a year ago. The girl, being in the company of acquaintances, said that she wanted to exchange three thousand euros belonging to her grandmother for hryvnias and buy a mobile phone.

There was one adult man in the company who offered to exchange money. He went to the exchange with an underage boy. The girl's “friends” took 19,000 hryvnias after exchanging euros. 18,000 was appropriated by an adult man, another 1,000 was taken by a teenager. They gave the rest of the money to the girl.

According to part 2 of Art. 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the adult accused was sentenced to imprisonment for a period of 2 years with a probationary period of one year. Adolescents – restriction of freedom for a period of one year, also with an examination period of one year.
