In the forest of the Cherkasy region found a mysterious burial in 1812

In the Zvenigorod region, there could be the grave of the Haidamak leader Maxim Zheleznyak. At least, this is what the old-timers say, informs Ukraine Incognito.

Cherkasy region. Railway. A mysterious cross in the forest, far beyond the village. A dirt field road leads there, along which you can drive only when it is dry. Then you need to wander for a long time along the forest slope to find this grave. Now the cross lies on the ground and is broken into pieces, the inscription is very muddy, so it is difficult to read, but we have seen older photos that show the year of burial – 1812 and the name Anastasia. The surname is similar to Zheleznyak, or even Zheleznyachka.
