In St. Petersburg, eight children were poisoned by chlorine vapor, which happened while swimming in the pool. Five minors subsequently required medical assistance.

Two victims ended up in intensive care, doctors assess their condition as “moderate”. Three more have a mild degree of inhalation poisoning, in their case the prognosis is favorable. All the victims spent time in the pool in one of the fitness centers of St. Petersburg, where there was a release of suffocating gas vapors. According to “KP”, the age of the poisoned children is mainly from 7 to 8 years old, only one is older – he is 15.
Other sources state that no chlorine emissions were actually observed. At the same time, there could be a “violation of the concentration of the substance”. Currently, an audit is being carried out with the participation of specialists from the TFR and Rospotrebnadzor.
