According to Spanish nutritionists, against the background of the coronavirus pandemic, or rather the transition to a remote mode of operation, many have lost the habit of starting the morning with coffee, and yet this drink has a lot of useful properties. It is worth remembering the limitations. For example, pregnant women and hypertensive patients should not drink more than one cup a day. However, recent studies have shown that coffee can improve insulin sensitivity, protect against cardiovascular disease, prevent the threat of cirrhosis and even a number of cancers, including prostate cancer. This drink can improve the functioning of the cerebrovascular system. At the same time, scientists warn that it is harmful to consume coffee with sugar, as well as rolls and desserts.
Doctors believe that 100-400 mg of caffeine per day is safe, but it is worth remembering the difference in the sensitivity of this drink. The amount of coffee can vary depending on the state of health and other factors, including the emotional state, pace of life and personal intolerance. It is also worth remembering that caffeine is found not only in coffee, but also in tea, mate, and hot chocolate. The beneficial properties of the drink often depend on the type, degree of roast and grinding of the coffee beans. Nutritionists consider Arabica to be one of the best, but experts do not recommend drinking instant coffee. It may contain acrylamide. This chemical has an extremely negative effect on health.
