According to the prime minister, the country's authorities plan to simplify the visa regime for citizens of foreign states, whose relatives are Russian citizens. This category of visitors will be issued visas valid for up to 12 months. In addition, at the same meeting, Mishustin spoke about some other government initiatives.
For example, the Cabinet of Ministers proposes to increase the rate of excise duty on tobacco products, as well as to increase payments for the use of natural resources. These measures are called the first steps aimed at increasing revenues to the federal budget, which is faced with a serious deficit for a number of objective reasons. Among other things, on September 16, the Cabinet plans to consider an initiative to raise the personal income tax rate to 15% for those citizens whose annual income exceeds 5 million rubles.
