In private conversations, Trump complains about Musk's intrusiveness - ZMI

Donald Trump, the future US president, in private conversations expressed dissatisfaction with the constant presence of billionaire Elon Musk, who, after large-scale financial investments in his election campaign, settled in a cottage on the territory of the Trump Club in Mar-a-Lago.

This is reported by The Daily Beast with reference to The New York Times journalist Maggie Gaberman.

Gaberman noted that in public Donald Trump demonstrates pleasure in the presence of his mega-donor and “first friend” of Elon Musk, who has settled near his residence. However, in private conversations, Trump seems to be getting tired of Musk coming to him unannounced.

«Trump really complains to people that Musk is around too often… He is constantly in Trump's eyes», — the journalist says.

As the publication writes, Musk is actively involved in political processes, even before Trump's official inauguration, which led to the joking nickname «President Musk« among Democrats.

According to the journalist, Musk annoys Trump more than most other advisers.

«Musk has the ability and willingness to fund many initiatives, which probably gives him more freedom in his relationship with Trump than others. However, it still remains a difficult relationship», — Gaberman concluded.
