The first Ukrainian volunteer brigade began to be formed in Poland. Several thousand people have already registered to participate in the Ukrainian Legion.

This was stated by the head of the Polish Foreign Ministry Radoslaw Sikorski during the NATO summit in Washington, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

"We have up to a million Ukrainians of both sexes, and several thousand of them have already registered to participate in this prize. And what’s interesting is that many of them really want to serve and save their compatriots, but they say: we don’t want to be sent into battle without being properly trained and equipped,” the diplomat said.

Volunteers will undergo training, receive equipment, after which they will be sent to Ukraine with the right to return to Poland after completing the rotation.

As reported by BAGNET,  Earlier, Ukraine and Poland signed an agreement on the creation of a volunteer legion with the possible participation of foreigners. Every citizen of Ukraine can enroll in the legion and sign a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
