The operatives of the regional department of the migration police exposed the scheme of misappropriation of social payments provided by the state for internally displaced persons.

According to the GUNP, it was organized from correctional colonies.

According to the investigation, natives of areas where active hostilities are taking place, being detained in Odessa for committing crimes even before the full-scale invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine and  actually staying at that moment in  places of deprivation of liberty, having learned about the state program of payments to internally displaced persons, with the help of  Diya mobile application;  filled out a form to receive money.

They received illegally issued monthly payments for several months, until their activities were stopped 

Searchs were carried out in penitentiary institutions .

One of the men, a native of the Kherson region, was declared suspect by the investigators. He is charged with fraud committed by illegal operations with the use of electronic computers.

In the near future, five more people from Lugansk, Zaporozhye, Donetsk and Nikolaev regions should become suspects.
