On Wednesday, September 25, a memorial plaque to professor, political figure and linguist Iryna Farion was unveiled at Lyceum No. 75 named after Lesya Ukrainka in Lviv. It was in this educational institution that she received her education.

This was reported by the Information Portal of Lviv City Council deputies on Facebook.

A memorial tablet was installed on the facade of the educational institution located at 7 Karadzhicha Street. The family of Iryna Farion opened the memorial tablet.

Earlier, the management of Lyceum No. 75 took the initiative to install a commemorative tablet. On September 17, the executive committee of the Lviv City Council supported this idea. The members of the executive committee also approved the developed sample table.

We remind you that the first official opening of a memorial tablet dedicated to Iryna Farion took place recently in Lviv. The table is set to on the facade of the house where she lived and near the place of her murder, namely on Masaryk Street, 3.

The family of Iryna Farion and her siblings opened a memorial tablet. In particular, her grandchildren Dmytro and Eva removed the UPA flag from the table. After opening the plaque, the priest consecrated it.

Farion's words are engraved on the tablet: “We are unyielding in our desire to have a strong National State. Without our Language it is as impossible as without eyes to see”.

As you know, on the evening of July 19, former deputy and linguist Iryna Farion died in the hospital after an assassination attempt .
