The criminal asked a military acquaintance for a phone number and withdrew almost 80 thousand hryvnias from his card via online banking.

A Kyiv resident robbed his military acquaintance of 80 thousand hryvnias.

This was reported by the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office.

A 31-year-old man asked his military acquaintance for a phone number to allegedly make a call. Since the men were well acquainted, the victim gave the phone number without hesitation.

After that, the acquaintance, realizing that there was money on the soldier's account, immediately changed the password for entering the Internet banking and transferred money from his account to the cards of his acquaintances. He explained to the cardholders that he needed to use their accounts to receive his salary. In addition, the man topped up his mobile phone with the soldier's card and paid with it at a gas station.

In total, the attacker withdrew almost 80 thousand hryvnias from the soldier's card. The fraudster has now been reported for suspicion.
