In Kharkiv, “planted” a man who defended and glorified Russia through social networks

< P > This “Thought” became known from the sentence of the Frunzensky district court of Kharkiv.

< p > February 17, 2025, the Frunzensky District Court of Kharkiv found the man guilty of justification of Russian armed aggression against Ukraine. Sentenced on the social network “Classmates” repeatedly published materials that glorified the Russian military and occupation regime.

< p > As the investigation established, the accused deliberately displayed posts that denied the temporary occupation of the Ukrainian territories, justified the aggression of the Russian Federation and exalted its military. In particular, he liked and distributed several publications with songs and videos that promote Russian ideology, as well as posts with the symbols of illegal armed formations.

~ < P > Forensic psychological linguistic examination confirmed that the content of publications has signs of propaganda. As a result, the man was found guilty of the Article of the Criminal Code of Ukraine on propaganda and justification of Russian aggression. He was assigned a real punishment in the form of five years in prison.

< P > Law enforcement officers urge citizens to be conscious and not spread materials that can threaten national security. In case of detection of such content, competent organs should be reported.
