In Japan, police exposed a weasel that stole children's shoes

Weasel < p>Police in the Japanese city of Koshi since the beginning of November tracked the “elusive thief” of shoes in the kindergarten. It turned out to be an ordinary weasel.

Throughout November, educators and law enforcement officers were puzzled by the fact that only single shoes disappeared. In total, at least 15 pairs of shoes disappeared from 10 children. The Guardian writes about it.

In order to understand what is happening, the police installed surveillance cameras. The recording showed that the “thief” turned out to be a weasel who entered the premises at night and took the children's shoes. The whole “operation” took only a few seconds – the animal quickly disappeared with the shoe in its teeth.

The employees of the kindergarten admitted that they felt tense, but after revealing the “thief” they felt relieved.

We were very worried, but now it is easier to know that it was an animal, – said the employees of the kindergarten.

Experts assume that the weasel probably used shoes to insulate the nest after the birth of the cubs, because these animals are very sensitive to the cold.

< p>Stolen shoes have not yet been found, but kindergarten workers have located them meshes on the gaps to prevent repeat incidents.
