In Finland, due to a malfunction, they stopped operation of the nuclear power plant

The operation of the Olkiluoto 3 nuclear power plant has been suspended in Finland due to a technical malfunction.

This was reported by the press service of the operator of the plant, Teollisuuden Voima (TVO), informs “European Truth” .

As noted by the company, electricity production at the Olkiluoto 3 station was interrupted on Monday, June 3, due to a turbine malfunction.

“Power unit No. 3 of the Olkiluoto 3 NPP was operating normally, when a turbine failure automatically interrupted power generation at the station,” – the message says.

The cause of the malfunction is currently being investigated. The incident has no impact on nuclear safety, the company assured.
