In Dnipro, a shop worker caught up with a robber who stole two phones

The robber grabbed two mobile phones from the shelf of a retail establishment and tried to run away, but a shop worker caught up with him.

As reported from the police of the Dnipropetrovsk region, on October 25 around 3:00 p.m., law enforcement officers received information about the robbery of a store on Pastera Street in the Central District of Dnipro. However, the criminal did not manage to escape with the stolen goods. An employee of the store caught up with him and called the police.

The police who arrived on the call documented the crime. The robber turned out to be a 36-year-old citizen who had previously had problems with the law for committing property crimes.

The man was detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

On October 26, investigators informed him of the suspicion under Part 4 of Art. 186 (robbery) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. For the crime committed, the man faces up to 10 years in prison. The investigation is ongoing.
