The observation deck will be located quite close to the “Chersonesos Tavrichesky”. The specialists did not like the shape and execution of the metal structure. According to experts, the contrast between ancient stones and modern metal is too noticeable. The management of the museum-reserve took up its improvement, as a result of which they intend to build an observation deck.

Tourists are interested in the history of the monument even in the cold season. Chersonesus was founded by the Greeks in the 5th century BC. On the territory of the ancient settlement, a large number of artifacts were discovered, which are stored even in the Hermitage. For the first time, excavations were carried out on the territory of Chersonesos at the beginning of the 19th century. For two centuries, experts have been able to explore only a third of the area of the monument. Most of the ancient city is underground, and various works in this area that are not related to science are a matter of concern for scientists.

The restorer Anatoly Tumanov, who has been working in Tavrichesk Chersonesos for 20 years, is sure that its improvement is a serious mistake. According to the expert, the archaeological site is gradually turning into an entertainment center. However, museum workers claim that the arrangement of Chersonesos does not harm the ancient city.
