The Chinese edition of Sohu told how to properly replenish the amount of B12 in the body. The lack of this vitamin is fraught with serious health problems – up to anemia, but its excess is not good either, as it increases the risk of shortness of breath, eczema, facial swelling, chills, pain in the heart.

B12 is an essential nutrient required for the normal functioning of the human body. It is the only vitamin that contains a metal element (cobalt). B12 supports normal blood formation and metabolism of folic acid, promotes the synthesis of fatty acids and the protection of the nervous system. The human body does not need a lot of this vitamin; its deficiency can be fully compensated for by adjusting the diet. People with diabetes who have been taking drugs to control blood sugar levels for a long time are at risk for B12 deficiency; alcoholic citizens; patients with atrophic gastritis and poor food absorption; children with a delayed reaction, high drowsiness and anemia; old men.
In order for the body to maintain the necessary level of B12, the diet must be balanced, with a reasonable amount of animal food and dairy products. That is, the diet should contain meat, eggs, milk. Taking a preparation containing this vitamin is prescribed exclusively by a doctor. It should still be understood that the body is much better for strengthening a healthy diet, and not drugs.
