In China, the largest wind turbine in history was launched: it caused an unexpected effect

In China, in August 2024, Mingyang Smart Energy installed a giant 20MW wind turbine in the sea, which is the largest wind turbine in the world. Its launch led to changes in the microclimate near the installation site.

The Diary24 publication noted that thanks to its 128-meter blades and height of 242 meters, it can generate enough electricity for a year to power 96,000 homes.
