What else is known

More than half of smartphones sold in the second quarter had cameras with a resolution of more than 50 megapixels. Improvements are especially noticeable in the budget and mid-range segments, where Android device manufacturers offer models with 64 and even 108 megapixel cameras.

According to Counterpoint Research analysts, camera resolution is one of the key factors when choosing a smartphone for buyers.

The tendency to increase the number of lenses also continues. 45% of smartphones with high-resolution cameras are equipped with three lenses, which is due to the growing popularity of macro lenses.
