< img src = "/uploads/blogs/d7/6b/ib-fr4oe3t04_4647bc4e.jpg" Alt = "in 10 years artificial intelligence will exceed a person"/> ~ ~ < P > What if artificial intelligence in a few years is able to perform any task better than a person ? This perspective seems to have recently been a distant scientific fantasy. But now that recognized experts talk about her reality, we approach the time when AI will become not just an instrument, but a true partner in performing complex tasks.

< p >Google Deepmind CEO, Demis Hasabis, shared his forecasts for future artificial intelligence. He believes that artificial intelligence, capable of reaching the level of human intelligence, can appear in 5-10 years. This means that a system that can solve a problem that is not inferior to human capabilities will become a reality in the coming years. However, despite all the achievements, such systems still cannot understand the context of the real world, which is the main obstacle to the full artificial general intelligence (AGI).

< p > Hasabis noted that although technologies are striking today, there is a lot left behind. So far, artificial intelligence is effectively cope with certain tasks such as playing chess or strategies in games like “Starcraft”. However, in order to understand the real world and adapt to it, much more studies are needed.

< p >Other technological leaders, including Anthropic Dario Amodei CEO, predict that AI can be more developed with & Rsquo; to appear even in the next two years. However, Hasabis and his colleagues believe that the real breakthrough will not happen so quickly. Meanwhile, the achievement of artificial intelligence capable of performing most of the tasks of human intellectual activity is considered relatively near.

< P > In order for AGI to become reality, artificial intelligence needs to be learned to navigate in the real world. To date, the biggest problem is the ability of machines to understand and interact with the environment. The development of models that can describe the real world has become an important step in this path. However, for a full -fledged understanding, decades of work are required.

< P > Despite all hopes and forecasts, most experts believe that the next few years will be crucial for AGI development. But even when artificial intelligence reaches the level of human intelligence, it does not mean that it will be a comprehensive threat. Most likely, it will be an instrument that will help people reach new peaks in science, medicine and other areas, although the issues of ethics and control over such AI remain relevant.

< p > Artificial intelligence capable of achieving the human level of understanding and performing tasks is increasingly closer. However, its full implementation in real life still takes time and additional research. Perhaps in the next 5-10 years we will see a real breakthrough in technology that will exceed human capabilities, but it will only be the beginning of a new era in the development of artificial intelligence.
