The official decision regarding the upcoming presidential elections in Poland was announced on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 by the Speaker of the Sejm Szymon Hołownia. The first round of elections will take place on May 18, 2025. Hołownia noted that the dates provided are only “rough”, which means they may change.

Candidates will be able to notify the National Electoral Commission (NEC) of the establishment of a committee by March 24, 2025. In turn, District Electoral Commissions should be established by March 31, and the deadline for submitting candidates is April 4.
