The turnover of the service for the delivery of groceries from iGooods stores in January-September 2020 amounted to 5.7 billion rubles, the company said.
In January-September 2019, the turnover was at the level of 1.8 billion rubles. Thus, this year this indicator has grown by almost 3.2 times.
In the 3rd quarter of 2020, the service turnover amounted to 1.7 billion rubles, which is also almost three times more than in the same period last year.
Among the reasons for the growth in turnover in the company indicate that during the low summer season there was a prolonged effect of the pandemic, which led to the formation of the habit of buying food online. The second growth factor was the recovery of the B2B segment. Also in July of this year, the service launched an advertising platform for manufacturers, and during the test period, sales of some manufacturers increased by 1.5-2.5 times.
In total, in the 3rd quarter, iGooods delivered about 407,345 thousand orders, the average check was 4,062 thousand rubles, and comparable sales (LFL indicator) increased 1.8 times.
“There is a high degree of uncertainty in the market due to the rise in morbidity. We prepared in advance for the second wave and began hiring additional personnel to meet the growing demand. We expect that by the end of the year, turnover will increase to 10-12 billion rubles, depending on the future situation with restrictions “, – the words of the manager and co-founder of the service Grigory Kunis are given in the message.
The product delivery service from iGooods stores was founded in 2015; in 2018, the company raised 123 million rubles from a consortium of investors, including the SOL Ventures fund of the Delivery Club founder Levon Oganesyan and his partners, ex-partners of the Quadriga Capital Russia fund. In August 2019, the international Joom marketplace acquired 10% of the iGooods management company for 325 million rubles.
