Ibrahim Ali, a man accused of the first-degree murder of a 13-year-old girl in Burnaby, British Columbia, has been found guilty by a jury in the province's Supreme Court. He pleaded not guilty when the trial began last April.

During the trial, the Prosecutors say the teen was walking through Burnaby Central Park on July 18, 2017, when she was attacked and dragged into the woods, where she was sexually assaulted and strangled.

Ibrahim Ali was arrested more than a year later, on September 7, 2018.
