The authorities of New Zealand have included the Huobi bitcoin exchange in the register of financial services providers.

Before that, the exchange stopped registering new users in mainland China after another wave of repression against the cryptocurrency industry. According to media reports, Huobi made this decision before the tightening of regulation in China.
In February 2022, the exchange announced the return to the US market after two years of absence.
In June, operator Huobi announced on the closure of a branch in Thailand after the license was revoked by the Ministry of Finance.
Recall that in March Binance received a license to provide cryptocurrency services in Dubai.
The UAE issued a similar permit to the FTX bitcoin exchange.
