Hundreds of German police are looking for a Ukrainian girl

For the fourth day in the state of Saxony they are looking for a nine-year-old Ukrainian girl Valeria , who disappeared on the way to school in the city of Debeln, Radio Liberty reported.

Cine handlers, divers, rescuers and a helicopter have already been involved in the search. More than 300 law enforcement officers are again combing the entire city, and the police do not rule out that the missing Valeria may already be outside Germany, writes Bild.

"On Monday, June 3, Valeria went to school around 6: 50 in the morning, but never showed up for class,” the report says.

After the child did not return home from school in the afternoon, relatives contacted the police. On the same day, at 18.30, the police began searching for the girl.

Video recordings and testimony from the bus driver confirmed that Valeria did not use a regular bus to go to school. Due to the fact that the school did not immediately report Valeria's absence, the state prosecutor's office began an investigation against the school.

The Ukrainian refugee arrived in Germany with two minor children in 2022. They come from the Dnepropetrovsk region, journalists report.
