Asteroid Dimorph
A device weighing 550 kg crashed into an asteroid at a speed of 22,500 km/h, approximately 160 meters wide on September 27 last year.
NASA released footage of the asteroid Dimorph after it was hit by the DART spacecraft. Video published on YouTube.
Noting that back in September 2022 NASA sent DART to the 160-meter asteroid, which orbits more than five Didymus asteroids, to test the effectiveness of a new technology to protect the Earth from potentially dangerous space rocks.
