How to find out if the iPhone is original: proven methods

An obvious thing — if we want to have original equipment, then we need to buy it from official representatives of the company. However. it happens that it is not possible to buy a new thing and you have to stop at a used one. Very often this applies to phones, for example, from Apple. It is important to know how to check if the iPhone is really original. By the way, this will help if you lost it.

A simple way to check your iPhone — using IMEI. This is a separate code that each phone has. It consists of 15 digits. With its help, the device is tracked in the mobile network, and also in case of theft.

  • First of all, you need to know your IMEI. Go to “Settings”, in particular “General”. Find there the item “About information” or “About device”. You can find this code there.
  • Go to the Apple page in the “Check Coverage” section and enter your IMEI. This option will show you whether the gadget has a warranty and service. You will also find out whether the phone is registered with Apple.

You can also check the iPhone by serial number. It is found in the “Parameters” section — “General” — “About device”. Then the serial number must be entered again on the Check Coverage website. If the iPhone — real, you will see information about the warranty and the phone model.

Another simple method — go to the AppStore application store. If after clicking on the icon, you get to this program, and not, for example, to Google Play from Android — it means everything is fine.

It makes sense to pay attention to the appearance of the iPhone as well. The apple logo on the back of the gadget should be clear and high-quality. The body should be smooth and without cracks. The font both on the packaging and in the device should be expressive. Weight and size must correspond to the characteristics in the documentation.
