How to clear the memory of a smartphone without deleting photos and videos: experts named quick methods

Smartphones have become an integral part of our lives, so their fast and smooth operation is the key to comfortable use. Lack of memory on the phone can significantly slow down its operation and create inconvenience during use.

Most users solve this problem by deleting important files, photos and videos. Instead, there are effective ways to free up space on your smartphone without deleting the necessary information.

The easiest way to free up your device's memory is to clear the messenger cache. When using communication programs, a lot of temporary files accumulate on your phone. Messengers automatically save photos and videos from correspondence to speed up work and load chats.

To clear the messenger cache, you need to go to the program settings and find the “Memory” or “Data and memory” section. After clicking the “Clear cache” button, from several hundred megabytes to several gigabytes of memory will be freed up. It is important that you do not lose access to your files – they can be downloaded again.

To free up additional space, you should disable automatic updates for applications. It is also recommended to remove outdated applications that you do not use. It is better to transfer photos and videos to a computer or external storage.
