1. Washing. After each use, wash the board thoroughly by hand with a mild detergent and warm water. Avoid submerging the board in water to prevent swelling and cracking.
2. Drying. Immediately after washing, wipe the board with a clean towel and let it air dry. It is best to place the board vertically for air circulation.
3. Disinfection
- Lemon and salt. To disinfect and remove odors, sprinkle the board with coarse salt, then rub the surface with half a lemon. Leave for a few minutes, then rinse with warm water and dry.
- Vinegar. Periodically wipe the board with a solution of white vinegar to kill bacteria.
4. Masking scratches and stains
Soda. To remove stains and scratches, sprinkle the board with baking soda and rub with a damp sponge or cloth. Wash and dry the board.
