The beginning of the new school year is approaching, so parents, like students, need to prepare for school science again. However, it is not only about a new uniform, a backpack and notebooks – you will also have to take care of the organization of the workplace,

Check whether the furniture corresponds to the height of the schoolchild

Check whether the table and chair are suitable for the height of the child. The correct posture: the child sits deep in the chair, the back is close to the backrest, the head is slightly tilted forward, the legs are bent at a right angle, the feet are on the floor, the forearm is on the table.

A table that is too low can lead to poor posture, too high to fatigue.

Ensure quality workplace lighting

During the day, this issue can be solved thanks to natural light, and in the dark hours of the day – using artificial lighting. If we are talking about the location of the table near the window, avoid direct sunlight – it will reflect off the sheets and cause eye strain. The best option for artificial lighting is a table lamp on a flexible leg.

Consider the option of studying on a computer

If the child will study with a laptop or computer, place the monitor in front of his face at arm's length. The keyboard and mouse should be at elbow level, wrists should be straight – this way the muscles will not swell.

Organize the rest of the space

Last in order, but not in importance. Take care of drawers and organizers for textbooks, notebooks and stationery. Nothing should distract the child from studying, so it is good to organize the space around the desk so that extra things can always be hidden. In this way, the child's concentration will not “suffer”.
