How to apply for a pension through the “Diya” application: instructions

Ukrainians have the opportunity to apply for a pension through the “Diya” portal.

This innovation promises to make life easier by eliminating queues and paperwork in the process of applying for a pension.

However, despite the convenience, the process may encounter difficulties.

In order to use the online pension application service, you need to take a few simple steps. A citizen needs to log in to his/her account at diia.gov.ua, or register using a qualified electronic signature. After that, select a service, fill in the required data, and also attach the necessary scanned documents. Sign the application with an electronic signature. The decision on the pension assignment will be sent to your email, and you can download it in your account for printing.

You can also submit an application offline at the Pension Fund service center in person or through a proxy. For this, you will need original documents.

On the “Diya” portal, you can apply for various types of pensions: by age, length of service, disability, or in case of loss of a breadwinner. However, after submitting the document online, you will still have to visit the Pension Fund branch to receive a pension certificate.

If your application for a pension is rejected, you should contact the Pension Fund by phone at 0 800 503 753, or send a request by e-mail to info@pfu.gov.ua.

In addition, you can also change the method of receiving a pension online by submitting a corresponding application through the Pension Fund portal. To do this, log in to your user account on the Pension Fund of Ukraine portal, go to “Menu” – “Regarding pension provision”, in the “Making changes to the pension file” section, select “Application to change the method of pension payment”.
