According to the results of a sociological study by the Razumkov Center, share of Ukrainians who cannot provide themselves with the necessary food, increased during the war.

According to the survey, 12% of citizens are currently experiencing significant financial difficulties.
The share of citizens who answer that they barely make ends meet and do not have enough money even for the necessary products has become somewhat larger. In June 2021, there were 9% of them, now it is 12%,
– it is noted in the results of the study.
Another trend is also noticeable: 44% of the respondents try to buy more affordable products, even if they are of lower quality, then how 45% still choose higher quality products, despite their higher cost.

At the same time, the share of respondents who have enough money for current needs, but find it difficult to buy expensive things (such as furniture or appliances), decreased from 44% to 41%.
The study also recorded changes in sources of income. Now 54% of respondents say that they live mainly on salary (previously it was 38%). But those who rely on pensions, scholarships or other assistance have decreased: 29% against 38% earlier. In addition, the share of those who live on savings or household income decreased from 7% to 2.5%.
The survey was conducted by the “face-to-face” method among respondents over 18 years old at controlled territories of Ukraine where hostilities are not taking place. The structure of the sample takes into account the demographic composition of the population, and the theoretical error is 2.3%.
