Honda is preparing a new CR-V with a 1.61 liter per 100 kilometer (according to the results of the tests for the WLTC cycle). The key characteristic of the Honda CR-V PHEV plug-in hybrid was revealed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the People's Republic of China. Judging by the certification documents, the new generation version of the PHEV saves the i-MMD power plant based on a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter engine, and the plug-hybrid's performance characteristics are negligible.

The new Honda CR-V made its debut two months ago with two modifications: the base crossover took a 1.5 turbo engine from a link with a variator, the super hybrid had a power plant based on the “atmospheric” 2.0, which does not matter chargers from sockets. And for China, Honda is preparing a more economical hybrid, the one that charges – the very same car is often opened by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the PRC.

The new generation of the i-MMD power plant is reconfigured – the output of the atmospheric engine is increased from 146 to 150 kn forces, and the axis of the electric motor is developed from 184 kn forces. The principle scheme will not change, but the efficiency of the growth system – paliva vitrata for the WLTC cycle will decrease from 1.84 to 1.61 liters per 100 kilometers, and the maximum speed of growth will be from 160 to 193 kilometers per year. The capacity of the traction battery and the range without activation of the DVZ are not specified, but the front wheel can run on electric power up to 65 kilometers (WLTC).

The debut of the Honda CR-V PHEV, without a doubt, will be in China before the end of autumn. A similar power plant can be taken off the European version of the crossover. For the more conservative buyers who are not ready to charge their car from the outlet, Honda is offering compact and cheap analogues for the quarter of the new XR-V.
