HMD Global, which produces phones under the Nokia brand, may introduce a new mid-range smartphone called Skyline.
The information came from the Finnish publication, which reported that the phone will be released in July and will go on sale on July 10. The Skyline (model number TA-1688) will be positioned as a more premium offering with an estimated price of €520. It will be available in black with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of built-in storage, with dual-SIM support.
The Skyline is believed to have previously been codenamed Tomacat. If so, the smartphone is expected to feature an FHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and stereo speakers.
On the rear, the Skyline is likely to there will be a triple camera with a main sensor of 108 MP, an ultra-wide-angle lens and a macro or depth sensor. A 32-megapixel camera will be placed in front. The device should be powered by a battery with a capacity of 4900 mAh with support for fast charging with a power of 33 W. Its body should meet the degree of IP67, and the smartphone will be controlled by Android 14.
HMD is also developing another device called Nighthawk. Its cost is expected to be less than 300 euros. It is predicted to have the same FHD+ OLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip, 8 GB of RAM, 128/256 GB of flash memory, a main camera with a main 108 MP sensor, 32 -MP front camera, 5000 mAh battery, Android 14 OS and stereo speakers.
